Uptown

Over the years, Houston’s First Improvement District has transformed the Galleria area into a spectacular showcase of modern landscape architecture. Landscape Art has been a part of it since 1998, when we rebuilt the landscaping on Post Oak Boulevard by constructing the signature “color ribbon” arcs that transected the medians. 

Since then, Landscape Art has been a staple at Uptown District.  For more than two decades, we have built projects as a General Contractor and acted as a subcontractor to larger projects. 

The most recent was a complete re-conceptualization of Post Oak Blvd.  The design included two dedicated bus lanes bordered by three vegetative medians.  The project schedule was so intense that three General Contractors split up the work; however, Landscape Art was the specified subcontractor for all three contractors.  This speaks to our capacity, as well as the owner’s confidence in our work.
