Bagby Street Improvements

Bagby Street project encompassed 10 blocks in Downtown Houston directly in front of City Hall. Landscape Art worked for a great general contractor, Main Lane Industries. The purpose of the project was to make this part of downtown more pedestrian friendly and encourage foot traffic in the area.

We installed an aluminum planter, almost 100 feet long, in front of Hobby Center that was planted with gorgeous seasonal color. Our scope also included drainage, planting, irrigation, and special structural soil that was placed under the pavement to allow for tree roots to grow without disturbing the walkways in the future.

The project finished five months early, because of reduced traffic in the downtown area during the pandemic.
