Pearland SH35 Beautification

At the start of construction in 2018, Pearland State Highway 35 Beautification was the largest project Landscape Art had ever taken on. The work included fabrication and installation of six Pearland gateway signs, hundreds of custom grown trees, and thousands of plants along a 2.5 mile stretch of roadway.

We installed sidewalks, seat walls, tree grates, decorative pavers integrated into sidewalk, and retaining walls. We demoed the concrete medians, so we could landscape them, which completely transformed the roadway.

A challenge on this project was that all the work was along a busy highway. Extensive traffic control and coordination with the city and TxDot were necessary. Construction took a little over one year.
