Bayou Greenway Park and Trailhead

This park was a celebration of the Bayou Greenways project and a “Thank You!” to the donors that contributed so much toward its completion.  The project includes a magnificent Donor Plaza with the names of the major contributors listed.

We also constructed a boardwalk overlook that peeks out at White Oak Bayou.  The boardwalk’s foundation is a series of large gabion baskets that anchor the walkway but allow for floodwaters to pass over and through.

The custom paver plaza includes a map of the Greenway Trail system engraved into the pavers. Landscaping, a climbing hill, and a native grass area complete a serene scene in the midst of the big city.
